New research from Lloyds Bank* has found that Cambridge is one of the country’s top property hotspots for young professionals looking to purchase a home. The report further suggested that these buyers would pay a premium of up to 16% to live within the northern suburbs of this hotspot. Fresh in the knowledge that Cambridge is among the favoured places for young professionals looking to settle down, Countryside has recently launched its brand new collection of homes at Aura in South Cambridge.

Situated in the new urban village of Great Kneighton, the latest phase at the award-winning development, Aura, comprises a stylish range of two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses. The new homes offer the best of both worlds for young professionals seeking a relaxing base away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Andrew Loveday, Sales Director at Countryside, comments: “Aura is known as one of the best new addresses in Cambridge, due to its outstanding suburban location combined with easy access to the vibrant city centre, which has a great deal to offer. As part of this latest release, we expect The Visari Apartments to be particularly popular among young professionals looking to escape the busy city. With this in mind we urge potential purchasers to contact the marketing suite as soon as possible, so that they do not miss out.”

The Visari Apartments are set within an architecturally striking building and comprise a mix of just 14 two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom penthouses. The luxury apartments range from 827 sq ft up to 1,177 sq ft and all offer contemporary open-plan living/kitchen/dining areas with access onto a private terrace; some of the larger properties boast two adjoining or wrap around terraces. Master bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms and fitted wardrobes.

All of the apartments and penthouses offer a high specification with composite stone worktops, white gloss handleless units and fully integrated appliances including dishwashers and washer dryers to kitchens. Bathrooms and ensuite shower rooms have white sanitaryware, chrome accessories and cream ceramic floor and wall tiles.

As part of the wider Great Kneighton development, the homes are set amid green open spaces and tree-lined avenues. The masterplan also includes an extensive range of new amenities such as schools, a health and community centre, shops, a library, offices, sports pitches and a 120-acre country park.

Located on Lime Avenue, off Long Road to the south of Cambridge city centre, Aura is ideally located for mainline rail links to London. The Cambridge Guided Bus stops just moments away offering regular services to the city, train station, Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Biomedical Campus.

Prices for the two-bedroom apartments in the Visari building start from £450,000 and are available with Help to Buy. For further information, please call the marketing suite on 01223 656167 or visit *
