 After heavy rains and frost across Europe earlier this year sparked a supermarket vegetable crisis here in the UK, sales of seeds soared, as many people decided to start growing their own produce instead. Allotments are a fantastic way for anyone to try their hand at the ‘grow your own’ trend, and National Allotments Week 2017, 14th-20th August, is a perfect time to start, providing spades of inspiration and advice.
