Great Kneighton is less than 5 minutes from the M11 (junction 11) and is served by excellent transport links. Commuting to Cambridge city centre, London, Europe and the UK’s business centres could not be easier.  

Access To London

By car or coach the M11 southbound provides a direct route to the North Circular (for the West End), Docklands and the City. Alternatively Cambridge mainline station offers fast, frequent services to Liverpool Street and King’s Cross, with a journey time of around 50 minutes.

Stansted Airport is located southbound off the M11 (junction 8) where you can connect with the Stansted Express, a fast, direct train service from Stansted Airport to London with trains running every 15 minutes and an approximate journey time of 45 minutes.

The M11 connects you directly to Stansted Airport, London and the M25 southbound. Northbound it connects you directly to the A14, offering easy access to the East Coast as well as the Midlands and the North via the M1 and M6.

Cambridge's train station offers frequent services to London's Liverpool Street and King's Cross stations as well as Stansted Airport.


By air

Great Kneighton is within easy reach of London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Birmingham International Airport. London Stansted is the nearest international airport, located just 26 miles to the south, with easy access by train, coach or car (M11).

The M11 takes you directly to Stansted Airport which offers more direct connections throughout Europe than any other UK airport.


Park and Ride

The Council runs a Park and Ride service from five sites around the city. The nearest service to Great Kneighton is the Trumpington Park and Ride, located just two minutes away on the opposite side of the B1309 next to Waitrose.


Cambridgeshire Guided Bus (CGB)

Great Kneighton is served by the new Cambridgeshire Guided Bus (CGB) which runs directly through the development, including a stop close to the centrally located neighbourhood centre.

The CGB provides a high quality bus service at a minimum of every 10 minutes connecting residents to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge city centre and then on to St Ives and Huntingdon. For further information, and to view the route map, please visit
